The human body is much like a snowflake. No two snowflakes are the same, and both humans and snowflakes are delicate and complicated. I have always been fascinated by people and how each person experiences life in a different way. When I was younger, I had trouble reading at the same level as other kids, so I found myself gravitating towards manga and comics that had less words. Soon, telling stories became my true love and my biggest way of expressing myself. I started out my art career by sketching primarily characters I had made in my head. Now that I'm older, I have found that I can continue my curiosity for humanity and my passion for storytelling in a broader way. I create art in any way I can, be that sculpture, printmaking, metal work, painting or simply drawing and illustration. My work often borders on disturbing or surrealistic ways of portraying my own experience as a person and what I think humanity is as a whole. I often draw from mythology, real life, religious text, anatomy and mental illnesses for my art. While I work in many different mediums, my work is made to tell a story in any form it takes.
