My artwork, "Flower Pot at Noon," centers on a special vase and flowers that mean a lot to me. The vase is one my mom bought, but I changed its colors in the painting so it would feel more magical. The flowers are my grandma's favorites, and I wanted them to look bright and full of life, just like how she makes me feel. The hand reaching toward them represents someone caring for the flowers, the way the people in my family care for me. The background of the painting comes from my own community, which I really love. I added the playground because it shows the fun moments I have with my sibling and my friends. I also included a lady walking her dog, something I often see in my neighborhood that makes the place feel warm and alive. I chose noon because it is the brightest time of day, and it helps everything-flowers, colors, and memories-shine the most.
