While living in a society built on hypocrisy, I examine the reality of the American dream rather than a fabrication of the truth. The irony of American culture reveals itself through patriotism, consumerism, and the thinning line between democracy and oppression. As authenticity dwindles, I choose to photograph the everyday and overlooked, hoping to capture the promised nation of liberty and justice-one that never existed.
