This piece, "Tzipporah," is an embodiment of dark-skinned beauty. I wanted to create a powerful work that could stand as a modern classical gem, much like the Mona Lisa. The subject is inspired by the biblical figure Tzipporah, the Midianite and wife of Moses. I created this piece to honor those who have been underrepresented in visual art. This is dedicated to African Americans who were ever made to question their beauty because of the color of their skin. This work exists to uplift, encourage, and inspire. This piece exists to affirm that Black is, and always has been, beautiful!
