Marcia Germain creates colorful oil paintings, vibrant pastel drawings and luminous portraits.
Her work is part of various public collections including the Charles H. Taylor Arts Center, Hampton, VA; Epiphany Lutheran Church, Richmond, VA; Longwood College, Farmville, VA; Hampden-Sydney College, Hampden-Sydney, VA; Trinity Episcopal School, Richmond, VA; Henrico Board of Education, Henrico, VA; and many private collections, including Vince Gilligan, playwright/producer/director, Hollywood, CA.
She has been a part of numerous group and solo exhibitions since the 1980’s.
Marcia has a BA degree from Kent State University, Kent, OH (Painting and Sculpture, K-12 Teacher Certification). She has had Teacher Recertification at Longwood College and Virginia Commonwealth University.
She has taught as an art teacher with the Prince Edward County, Virginia School System (1977-1979) and Trinity Episcopal School, Richmond, VA (1983-2010).
She continues to be a full-time artist.
