Emily Clanton earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia. She has studied under figurative painter, Hollis Dunlap; abstract artist and nihonga advocate, Judith Kruger; and natural dye expert/ textile artist, Catharine Ellis.
Her work has been seen in various locations in Japan as well as The Lyndon House in Athens, Georgia, the 'Bartaco Loves Art' billboard campaign in Midtown Atlanta, and the 'Lighten Up Spartanburg' public art project in Spring 2017. Emily lives and works in Greenville, SC.
