I recently moved to Richwood, WV, from the Philippines and South Florida. I have been a physical therapist, a Pilates instructor and studio owner, and an interior designer. After wearing so many hats, I've found the one that fits just right: artist and gallerist.
My daily life now is about art and nature. The beauty throughout the state, the changing seasons, the new plants I am learning to garden all have given me new appreciation for the wonder that exists in nature and its resilience in surviving adversity. Interacting with artists in my gallery work feels like I've stepped through a magic portal into my lifelong dream of being a part of the art world. In these new experiences, I am seeing the world with new eyes.
I'm presently exploring 3-dimensional art using clay, found objects and papier mache, sculpting my thoughts, imagination and life experiences into tangible shape, mass and form.
My work imagines what would happen were nature to take back the world from human influence.
