Ada Smolen-Morton

Ada Smolen-Morton was born in Northampton, Massachusetts and grew up in Florence, S.C. Primarily a ceramicist, she produces predominantly sculptural work with a background in painting and drawing. She holds a BA in Fine Arts with a concentration in ceramics from Francis Marion University. She recently exhibited her senior show collection at Francis Marion University and Coastal Carolina University, which explores grief through the depiction of physical interaction. She's currently interested in exploring the relationship between color and emotion in her work.
