A child of the 70s, Susan C Gregory was born in Augusta, GA. She was raised primarily in Columbia, SC and moved to the mountains of North Carolina as a young adult. A multidisciplinary artist, she paints, makes ceramic sculpture and designs and creates functional pottery under the brand ceramic scg. Completing a B.A in Political Science from the University of South Carolina(1996), she returned to art at Western Carolina University(NC) earning a B.F.A in Painting and Ceramics(2000).
After years in Denver and San Francisco, she came home to South Carolina in 2016 where she lives on the upper peninsula of Charleston. She has curated and shown locally and nationally with recent exhibitions including, Combined Talents:Southern Futurisms, FSU Museum of Fine Arts (2023), ëStudio Union; Art Outpost'(2022) and ëFrontyard, Backyard, Street'(2020)at REDUX Contemporary Art Center. Her largest project is the founding of Studio Union, a professional art space collective in N. Charleston, SC.
