Tea Okropiridze was born in country of Georgia where she received her Fine Art Degree majoring in fiber Arts, from the State Institute of Culture (2002). In 2002, she moved to the USA and continues her career as an artist and educator in DC metro area.
Some of her recent exhibitions include: (2023) Solo Show at The World of Thread Festival, Canada; ìInfinityî - Solo Show of Fiber Art, USA (2022) International Textile Art Biennial Belgium; From Lausanne to Beijing-12th International Fiber Art Biennale, China; Heallreaf 4 ñ International Contemporary tapestry exhibition, UK (2021) International Biennial PAPER FIBER ART Taiwan; (2020) 5th international Triennial of Textile Art Romania; ìArtists at work 2019î ñ Smithsonian Museum, USA;
Along with other awards, she is recipient of DC Commission of the Arts and Humanity 2023 Art Bank Program grant, USA (2022) and Award of Excellence from Lausanne to Beijing 9th International Fiber Art Biennale, China (2016);
