Artist Statement

A set of three ceramic pieces, two cups and a napkin holder that center around the uncomfortable concept of being extremely close to something potentially life- threatening; especially during an intimate occasion like breaking bread. The designs are based on traditional floral patterns but substituted with the leaves of poison oak, poison sumac and poison ivy.
