This piece is among a greater study of "the comparison between aging in humans versus aging in nature." My use of exaggerated texture and over saturated pigments is meant to define the process of aging as it happens in humans and materializes in our skin. Each wrinkle and line mimics a similar chain of development created by growth rings found within the cross-section of a tree. This piece voices a part of my greater discovery of the overarching impact of humans' coexistence within nature on our shared Earth. I challenge all to question the ways humans have reactively evolved to the effects of nature and vice versa, all the while imitating each other's patterns in subtle ways.
