In class we spoke about painting on cloth and I thought it was a new and interesting concept. My art teacher purchased a few items from Goodwill and I immediately was drawn to the jacket. I liked the black piping border around the collar and sleeves which gave way to my thoughts about keeping the neutral color theme. I had just completed a ceramic moose and was in the large animal vibe so I designed symmetrical black and white cow heads facing each other and drawn in negative (what is black on one is white on the other). The negative space was bland and a variety of circular shapes created the simple pattern to complete the harmony.
