Whenever brainstorming for this work, I had an idea and a story in mind. Children are very imaginative, and I wanted to really dive into just how creative they could be. This boy, leaning over himself and his created friends, is done in pen and ink. I included some exaggerated perspective in the piece, such as the boy leaning forward, creating, and playing in his own world. He is also pictured sitting on the toy blocks, talking with his cat friend on a walkie-talkie. There is a superhero and fairy flying that circling the blocks and the boy. When completing the piece, I noticed something was missing. I added splatters of ink to further the childish and playful mood of the work.
