This piece is a cross-hatched self portrait I drew for an assignment in class. The more I worked on it the more effort I wanted to put into it and make it more than just an assignment. I wanted to show an emotion that I have trouble explaining. In simple terms, I wanted to show an escape from reality. Going into my own little world full of stories. To show peace while drifting off into my own thoughts and imagination.
