In this monochromatic piece, I referenced a photo of my own record player at home, which reflects my individual love for music. I focused on including various shades of blue through acrylic paint, while finalizing the details with paint pens, specifically white, to draw attention to the highlights. As I was painting this piece, I thought of my family history and how large of a part music plays in my life. Blue is always the color I come back to when choosing to paint monochromatically. With this piece, I hope to show a creative representation of the interplay between sound and visual art.
