This piece is meant to be an impression of one of the many gorgeous streets and alleyways of the city of Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico. I wanted to portray the essence of a morning stroll through the city and share its colonial architecture, which makes it a national treasure and shows part of the country's rich history. I was inspired to paint this piece because my first time visiting had a great impact on me and heightened my love for the country my parents were born in. Taking in what I saw around me, the students near the university campus and the families happily roaming, I learned to appreciate the beauty of one of Mexico's many sights.
