This piece is based off of a picture of me as a child. I loved to take baths and play in the water. When I was younger I didn't live in the best house but my parents did their best to take care of me. The house was usually messy with clothes that needed to be folded and my mom didn't have much help from my dad because he was in the army. My grandparents would come over and help out with chores or just to keep us company. I chose this photo of me because it shows how carefree I was and how everything around me was my normal. Every color in the photo is accurate to what was in the house but I have added vibrance to the color because that is how I remember it. I chose watercolor because it gave the photo a dreamy effect. I added the scrap paper to give an old rustic feel to it.
