This picture represents a window to the past in my life. When I was younger, I loved going outside with my little sister, enjoying the fresh air and going on adventures. It was a much simpler time when we did not have to worry about the pandemic, college, high school, relationships, deaths, and much more. We imagined we were invincible and anything was possible. Everything is changing now because I am about to go to college, and leave home and my sister for the first time. So I wanted to create an artwork that represents the relationship I have with my sister. I babysit these two girls and they reminded me so much of my sister and me. They love going outside and so I took pictures of them interacting with each other and combined pictures of them spinning to see their expressions of laughter on their faces. They are filled with hope and wonder for their future, just as we were at their age.
