This piece is about acceptance. My character, Maficent, is written with a tragic background, as he's growing up he opens himself to things that were restricted from him in his younger years. When he becomes a young adult, he completely flips his ideals and beliefs to those that were once his late mothers. In the piece, he's slowly being pulled into the water by ominous hands. Instead of being fearful and rejecting, he has a calm face and relaxed "body" while being pulled by the hands of his mother. Letting go of all the hardships he endured, it could be theorized that once he emerges from the depths he'll be reborn, a new person... the new king. My motivation for this piece is from the story I'm writing. I like visualizing the turning points to satisfy the desire for this reality to become real, to become tangible.
