Artist Statement

I made this piece because I love South Korea. I have never been there, but it is so beautiful and interesting to me. When I first made this artwork, I spilt water on it, and it made me think of koi fish. I made a sun in the background. I love bamboo so I added it because I love pandas. I want to go to South Korea, so I called my painting South Korea Dreams.

My name is Akira. I am a 5th grader at Roebuck Elementary School. One day, I hope to become an aspiring artist to other people so that everyone can find as much happiness in my artwork as I did to making it. I often find inspiration to create my artwork through anime characters and backgrounds.
