Art is a way for me to express ideas, concepts, and emotions. My love for fantasy and all things magical and odd inspired this artwork. Creating what I saw as a home for fairies and other little critters, I wanted to convey a whimsical and dreamlike feeling through the house emerging from a tree trunk with flowers and large ladybugs. To achieve this, I layered a variety of red, brown, and blue colored pencils to create a warm, earthy tone on the sage green paper. To visualize the house, I utilized two point perspective to show depth. I would love to live in a little fairy abode.
