Hello! My name is Jasmine Wedge and I am a Junior at The Academy of Arts and Sciences in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Since I was really young I've always wanted to do art as my career. But at the same time I knew that it was selfish to do something that I would enjoy doing, while others don't have the opportunity that I have been given. That's why when I look back at the little time that I have come from the beginning of this year to now, I am very grateful for what I have accomplished and what I have been able to experience. So far my work in the art major has been very emotional. As an artist I like to connect to other people that I may not know, the idea of bringing someone happiness when they are upset inspires me to create more of my art. Popping colors and hard outlines that help the viewer recognize the main character (of that piece) is what helps my art have a style.
