My name is Javelle Coleman and I am from Myrtle Beach. A place where the ocean has its own story and my love story with Art began. Holding a pencil at only 12 months was the beginning of my art journey. It started with doodling and coloring. Today I know that I want to be an artist. When I was around 4 years of age, my mom drew a princess with a beautiful dress and that sparked a love for my next adventure of redrawing all the Disney princesses and cartoons. Art has been always in my heart and I know I am born with the gift of creating because I never stopped creating content. The passion and the imagination at times are beyond my capability of putting them on paper. Characters are always developing in my mind and all kinds of stories come with them. My inspiration comes from cartoons from the 90s and "magical girl" animes. I love creating my art on sketchbooks using mechanical pencils and micron pens. For the last couple of years, I have been creating digital art and I am absolutely in love with it. I cannot wait to see what my senior year has to offer and what my path has for me. I am grateful for my journey and I am open to creativity that offers so much to me individually but also to other people.
