As children, we typically lose sight of what is real or imaginary. We cry about creatures unknown, hidden under our beds, however what if the creatures under our beds aren't mere figments of our imagination? What if they lurk in disguise, hidden behind the friendly facades we encounter in our everyday lives? This piece is based on the idea that not everything is as it seems, there are many facades we face in day to day life that we don't usually look into any deeper. Children are often described as imaginative for their out-of-the-box stories they make up in their heads, but we are the same way as we make up stories to defend the everyday lies we come across in order to mask the deeper feelings behind someones words.
