Artist Statement

I created a flower with a weaving in the middle because I wanted it to pop. I made the piece because I love nature inspired art and I love weaving. I think the weaving really helps the flower seem like it blooming . I also think it makes my piece unique.

My name is Clara Staines. I have been making art since around pre-school but I started honors art just this year. Throughout the year I’ve learned that I love to do any art that has to do with weaving and string. I love making art in my free time and usually I am. Art makes me feel happy, calm, and free. When I’m upset or angry I will just sit down and start crafting.
