"Give Me a Break" started as a still-life photograph of leftover Halloween candy. I chose this candy because of the interesting texture the inside of the candy creates. After photographing my image, I sketched it out and decided to paint using acrylic. As I painted, I focused on the shadows, highlights, and textures to make it look realistic. Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome of my creation.
