Artist Statement

I took this photo at Wildsumaco Biological Station in Ecuador. I used an Olympus TG6 that I normally use to take bug photos, so I had to get close and that took a lot of moving slow and waiting. I saw so many amazing hummingbirds in South America, but the Wire Crested Thorn-tail was my favorite.
