My artwork is a still-life a teapot and swan as the centerpieces. My mom enjoys collecting unique objects from thrift stores, and her swan sugar dish really stood out to me, so I decided to incorporate that into my artwork. I wanted to add some texture and softness against the metal of the teapot and swan, so I chose some fake flowers that I liked and added that to the still-life as well. I created this piece by using graphite pencils to shade and make detailed reflections. I have never made a graphite still-life before so I really enjoyed this new experience. I learned a lot about patience while drawing this piece, because it was a long process which had to be separated into parts.
