This artwork is about loving someone bad for you. I tried to display the feeling of trying to keep a relationship together and hanging onto the relationship, but in reality, there is just nothingness left, which is represented by the darkness. It's the struggle of wanting that relationship when you have others trying to reach out and help you. Showing my friends gripping my hair and face, trying to drag me out of the bad relationships I've had. I had lost a lot of friends over the past year and have had a bad relationship, so I wanted to put that into an art piece that would display the feeling of hanging onto people you used to know and adore, despite having new people who are trying to get to know and understand you. This leaves me touch-deprived, as I am only trying to hug the darkness (my bad relationships), leaving a lack of focus on my friends who are trying to be in touch with me, but I am turning my back on them.
