Artist Statement

We read "Where The Wild Things Are' and were challenged to create our version of a "Wild Thing". We completed the drawing with colored pencil, with a focus on shading and blending the colors. I wanted my character to have human and frog characteristics. I gave him a crown because he would become king of the wild things when Max went back home.
