For my artwork, I painted a bird that was in my neighborhood. I took the reference photo because I like the calm environment and the overall surroundings. This painting challenged me to practice creating textures and building up the colors to create grass and water. I used a fork and a spring to help make the lines in the water and create a realistic look. The grass is my favorite part because it has many colors and textures put into it. My goal was to create an artwork that focuses on the details and nature of the photo.
