This portrait is a picture of me from about a year ago, riding a carousel. I was assigned to create a portrait using foreshortening techniques. Initially, I painted with watercolor, but later I switched to acrylic paint. This portrait marked my very first attempt at painting a picture of myself and capturing facial features. Since it was a self-portrait, it was easier for me to paint because I am very familiar with my own appearance.
