I'm an artist from the Low country, and my mission is to represent the unrepresented. As an autistic woman diagnosed just recently, I spent my life feeling different and not fitting in, without understanding why. Art became my refuge, allowing me to express the complexities of my mind when words failed. It's through art that I started to understand myself and my place in the world.
Growing up, I was bullied and misunderstood, often seen as a nuisance. My work aims to challenge assumptions about autism and offer a true, firsthand perspective, not one shaped by caregivers or corporations. Art allows me to communicate the parts of me that can't always be put into words. It's my tool for advocacy, for speaking on behalf of those who are often silenced or misrepresented. Through my work, I want to open minds, spark conversations, and foster empathy. Ultimately, I hope my art educates others and creates space for people like me to be seen, heard, and understood.
