This is my tiger illustration from my AP Studio Drawing class, and my first time doing an actual big piece that wasn't a one-off for myself. I experimented with coloured pencils and collaging, but also oil pastels. This project was for my original portfolio theme, Endangered Animals. This tiger was drawn in a semi-realism style; however, in the background, is a sketch of tigers. Tiger broken down to the bare-bones of what we imagine tigers: Big, orange, striped cats. By depicting tigers, and other animals, this way, it highlights the dangers of our animals we share the earth with going extinct, and how future generations will only know our fellow inhabitants as their main characteristics, and not what they truly are.
