I have been creating art related to miniatures since third grade. My medium of choice at the moment is a combination of many skills and interests. I design models that are 1/6th scale. I use a sewing machine to create miniature clothes after drafting the intricate patterns. All of the surrounding imagery in my photos is designed and built by myself using power tools, paint, wood, etc. I use a Nikon D3500 and a 35mm lens. My personal philosophy regarding photography is to avoid computer editing apart from color grading. This means that all of my photographs use special effects like water, fire, smoke, and various explosives. I aim to portray themes of human suffering, authoritarian dictatorship, and nihilism through my work. I strive for realism. I feel accomplished when people mistake my photos for real life happenings or film stills. I was accepted to the Savannah College of Art and Design class of 2030 this past summer, and I will use this amazing opportunity to bring awareness to important social issues.
