I decided to paint a one point perspective landscape using tempera. I love bright, happy colors, so I chose to blend shades of warm colors in the sky to create a sunset. I decided to use different shades of blues and greens for the ground. I added mountains in the background and telephone poles on the side of my road. My art teacher showed me how to use converging lines into the vanishing point. Objects closer to the foreground are larger, and objects further back are smaller. I did this to create depth in my artwork. I also added extra details like shadows off the side of the telephone poles to make it look more realistic. This piece took me several weeks to complete and I love the way it turned out.
