“She Planks” was an exercise to challenge how the viewer visually examines the framework of a piece as well as how much can be captured in such a slim frame. So much detail was able to be incorporated into the work by determining where my focus lays. I wanted to highlight her face as well as draw attention to expression. The variety of warm colors adds a relaxed yet humble feeling that the girl may be experiencing or maybe it is what the viewer is experiencing. Visually this piece cuts off the girl leaving what she is doing or where she is located completely up to the viewer’s interpretation.
