I explored a sense of belonging by emphasizing the fact that people, or creatures in this case, can create a feeling of connectedness despite their vast differences. Although every bird comes with their own unique colors, features, and sizes, they are all birds at the end of the day and share the same "family circle." The biggest influence for my piece is my close friends, as each bird represents one of them and their unique personality traits and capabilities.
