Lucid dreaming has always been something that interested me: creating scenarios, imagining anything you want, all inside your head as you're sleeping. I wanted to convey this by creating a self-portrait with two versions of me. One as a spirit-coming up with different ideas (the purple person). The reason I chose purple is because it symbolizes power, creativity, and a high status to convey how much control you have in your dream. The blue person represents peace, and tranquility as you are sleeping, but there's blue buttons on them to represent how they still attach to reality. It can also represent a melancholy vibe in this scene because you can make anything happen in your dream that can't happen in real life, which makes dreams feel exciting, more in control, a break from reality. I made the background warm colors to make it seem friendly and inviting-I added the feathers because they represent a higher realm, freedom, and buttons to symbolize everything being held together.
