The reference photo I used was a mirror selfie I had taken in the storage room in my parents' café. This room is filled to the brim, stuffed with miscellaneous items-such as cleaning supplies, paper towels, light fixtures, machinery, and cups for restocking. I had taken a .5 perspective photo of myself, and it ended up consisting of high aesthetic and visual value. I decided to paint it on a canvas. This painting serves as an effective exploration with realistic shading, blending, practice with facial features, foreshortening, unique perspectives, and achieving the subtle color shifts in skin tones.
