When my art teacher told us that we were going to be doing a subtractive drawing, I was so excited. A subtractive drawing is when you use different erasers to draw with, creating your image by removing the charcoal from the page. I really enjoyed making the shadows and the shoelaces. The shoelaces were a very fun challenge because I had to draw them just right so you could see how they twist. This shoe is my favorite piece I have made the whole school year.
