For my artwork, I wanted to use a medium that was unique and not typically used. I chose recycled cardboard to not only give it a second life, but to show the fun colors. I was inspired to make roses like I have seen on charcuterie boards-however, with the cardboard being hard, I had to soften it in water before it would bend into the shape I needed. My goal was to show others that anything can be viewed as art, including the trash that someone may be throwing away. I was able to make something viewed as beautiful, roses, from something that people typically view as ugly, trash.
