"The Vulture" is presented using Intaglio Printmaking. He is a bearded vulture, my favorite animal. Although uncommon, I find beauty in these animals. Printmaking is one of my favorite techniques to create with, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process. Although tedious, the process is something I feel I am good at and will continue to explore further in my career. I feel this art piece brings some light to the inordinary animals people don't often think of. When you think of a vulture, typically you would think of a negative quality, but to me I think they are not seen enough. I hope my art piece brings some light to all vultures, and all uncommon un-liked birds in general. There is beauty in all life, no matter what the stereotype is.
