Robert Sulkin lives in Roanoke, VA, where he is Professor of Art at Hollins University. He has been teaching and exhibiting in photography since 1980. His curriculum vitae lists participation in some 200 solo, group, and juried exhibitions. In 2009, he was the recipient of a Professional Fellowship from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Other career highlights referenced in his curriculum vitae include a traveling exhibition (Robert Sulkin, Photographs 1985-1995) sponsored by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, solo exhibitions at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, the Light Factory (Charlotte, NC), Virginia Tech, Middle Tennessee State University, Sweet Briar College, Washington and Lee University, and Bridgewater College, as well as inclusion in group shows at the Chrysler Museum, New Orleans Museum of Art, and 516 Arts in Albuquerque, NM., among many others.
