Glenda Guion received a B.F.A. from MTSU, and M.F.A. from Clemson University. She taught clay at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville for 25 years and was Art Department Chair for 13 years.
Glenda has exhibited both regionally and nationally, receiving 13 first place juried awards. Along with 14 solo exhibitions, her clay work has been shown in venues such as: Hickory Museum of Art; Galleria Mesa, Mesa, Arizona; Danforth Gallery, Portland, Maine; The Holter Museum of Art; Eastern Washington University; The University of Memphis; Southern Utah University; Capital University; and The Museum of Modern Art, Miami, Florida.
Glenda's clay sculpture are included in the books "Handbuilt Ceramics" by Kathy Triplett, and "500 Teapots", (Lark Books.) She published an article titled 'Making an Ocean of Clay' in Pottery Making Illustrated Magazine.
Public collections such as the South Carolina State Art Collection, the Pickens County Museum, Columbia College, and Clemson University.
