Carson Carroll is an interdisciplinary artist based in the southern part of the US. She received her BFA from Winthrop University in 2019 and now resides in Charleston, South Carolina. She creates work that focuses on environmental and social issues such as; human consumption, throw-away culture, and plastic pollution. Carroll is currently creating work with found objects collected by herself and local environmental groups. She uses the cyanotype process, collage, and installation to create work that draws viewers in and asks them to look past the surface. Her interactive and participatory work aims to bring awareness to environmental issues while promoting the self-education of the viewers.
