Self-taught artist Haley Ridgeway ( Haley R. Art), from the Clemson/Central area in South Carolina, enjoys creating art in a variety of mediums, but has specifically come to enjoy creating artwork in her signature style by coupling watercolor with her favorite medium, charcoal. Combining the two has allowed her to develop a unique style that offers an abstract element with the untamed watercolor, then finishing with the details using the grounding and classic effect that the charcoal provides. Involving these aspects of planned and controlled details with the charcoal and the unplanned creative expressions with the watercolor has been a freeing process for Haley. Her hope is that it has the same effect on you, the viewer. That you too feel that pull and urge to lean into all areas of life. The planned and the unplanned. The controlled and the unexpected moments. And that healing and joy may come as a result.
