This mixed media sculpture is one of a series that I have created intermittently for the last twenty years. Inspired by plutonian geometry and the early attempts at understanding three dimensional sundials. The mixture of the warm qualities of wood and the coldness of cast metal is a very interesting contrast. The employment of color is used to convey mood and work as a method of emphasis at the core of the work. Metal elements are aged to perpetuate the feeling of age and potential utility. The body of the work is based loosely on the plethora of weapons created by humanity throughout history.
