M.A. Bach is a ceramic sculptor and art potter. Bach uses the motifs and patterns inherent in nature and the human figure to highlight our connection to the earth. Rediscovering herself and her passion for art after a lifetime of caregiving, Bach completed her B.F.A with an emphasis in sculpture, in her late 40's. The complexities and inherent nature of clay continue to drive her explorations and attempts to take ceramic sculpture farther. The aesthetic of wabi-sabi, finding the beautiful in the imperfect, is often an underlying theme. Bach continues to advance her education through study with artists she admires. She has studied with sculptors Sandy Scott, Lisa Clague, Glo Coalson, Garland Weeks, and Judy Mooney. Bach was juried into Art Fields in 2015 with her first large scale sculpture and has been active in local art events and shows. 'I feel my work continues to mature and I am excited to push myself further and exhibit more in the near future.'
